Greenville Literacy Association has served the Greenville, South Carolina, community, and surrounding areas for over 50 years.

For more than 55 years, Greenville Literacy Association (GLA) has provided high-quality instruction in reading, writing, math, GED preparation, and English as a Second Language to adults in Greenville County, South Carolina.  In recent years, GLA has broadened its focus to include workforce preparation, offering instruction in digital literacy and job market skills as well as pre-CNA training and workplace-specific ESL. GLA also provides instruction in virtual, in-person, and blended formats.

Greenville Literacy Association is a 501(c)(3) Community-Based Organization.  GLA is a non-profit literacy and adult education provider in earning federal support.  As such, all programs are monitored for academic rigor and quality by the South Carolina Department of Education, Office of Adult Education.
